Ruby Bonnets

The ruby bonnet is a species of agaric fungus in the family Mycenaceae. It is found in moist forested areas of Australia and New Zealand, often in small groups on rotting wood. It is another mushroom of the basidiomycetes class (like the anenome stinkhorn). This small mushroom is named after its bright red cap which grows to 2cm in diameter on top of a slender stem.
